When
Phoenix Glass replaces a windshield, Betaseal/Essex adhesives are used to install windshields on nearly every domestic vehicle and two thirds of all vehicles manufactured worldwide to help restore a vehicle to its original strength and retain a windshield during a crash. Not all adhesives have the strength required to allow the vehicle safety systems to perform correctly. To assure that the windshield is replaced properly it's absolutely imperative that the correct adhesives as well as adhesive primers are used. |
> Sunroofs
Unfortunately Sunroofs are a specialty item that is best left to your dealer. Most sunroofs or t-tops are only available from the dealer, that is if you are lucky enough to have a vehicle equipped with a factory sunroof and not an Aftermarket brand.
If the glass did not come in your vehicle from the vehicle manufacturer the odds of finding an exact replacement glass is slim to none and the same holds true for parts such as hinges, latches, and seals. We have found over the years that the companies that retail and install Aftermarket Sunroofs usually have a main speciality like radios and alarm systems and do sunroofs as a side line item.
The only option you will have at that point is to find the next closest Aftermarket sized sunroof and modify your vehicle to fit it. That option sounds innocent enough but the reality of it is that it can result in major auto body, paint and interior trim work.
