FAQ > Auto Glass Differences > OEM Auto Glass Manufacturers Knoxville's Finest Auto Glass Installation Center In these ever changing times it’s very difficult for us, much less our customers, to keep up with who’s who in the Auto  Glass world.  There are only a small few still in business, at least here in the Good Ole USA, that have the same owners much  less the same manufacturers name.  This isn’t by far a complete listing of manufacturers.  Manufacturers contract’s change all  the time and the way things have went to date (2010), by the time you read this much of this information may have changed.  AP Technoglass, part of the Asahi Co Ltd Companies in Japan is said to be the largest automotive glass  manufacturer in the world, has been manufacturing safety glass in the United States for domestic and import  automobiles since 1986.  This high quality manufacturer is an OEM to many foreign and domestic auto makers  including Honda, Isuzu, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota, Saturn and other GM vehicles.  Auto Temp, Inc. is a highly sophisticated manufacturer of automotive tempered products.  All products are  manufactured in the USA.   ATI manufactures quality uniformly tempered curved and flat glass and is the after  market OEM Auto Glass Manufacturer for the Daimler Chrysler Corporation as well as the OEM Auto Glass  Manufacturer for Western Star, Navistar, and Mazda.  Carlite provides the entire line of OEM parts that meet customer demands for quality, fit and finish.  In  addition to OEM Ford Lincoln Mercury parts, Carlite also provides a broad range of quality domestic and foreign  parts including GM, Daimler-Chrysler, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, Volvo and more. All Carlite products are  manufactured to meet OEM standards.  Guardian has built or acquired more than 21 glass fabrication plants and remains a top 100 automotive OEM  supplier to the global automotive industry all over the world.  Mopar, Daimler Chrysler, Safeguard, OEM glass has been developed exclusively for Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. Pilkington < LOF Automotive Glass Replacement provides OEM quality glass products to auto glass  replacement professionals throughout the United States and has markets extending into Canada and Mexico.  Over the years, Pilkington Automotive developed a large number of glass operations around the world, each  with their local identity. Several other brand names have been absorbed by the Pilkington Automotive brand  such as Triplex, SIV, Libbey-Owen’s-Ford (LOF), and Blindex.  In 2006 Nippon Sheet Glass of Japan who  already owned 20% of the company, purchased the remaining 80% reportedly to be able to take on Asahi Glass, the world's  number one player. Saint  Gobain/Sekurit has been the long-time OEM supplier to some of the finest automobiles worldwide including  Audi and Volkswagen as well as many others.  Vitro, S.A. de C.V, through its subsidiary companies, is one of the world's leading glass producers.  Trademarked by several other names, such as Crimanex, Vitro Flex, VPM and others, Vitro is an OEM supplier  to many foreign and domestic auto manufacturers.  Vivex is Venezuela's largest OEM auto glass supplier to automotive manufacturers worldwide. Formed in 1964,  Vivex's primary customers are, Toyota, MMC-Hyundai, General Motors and Ford Motor Company. In addition,  Vivex provides products to heavy transport such as ENCAVA, Andean, Iveco, Intercar and others. Vivex has  exported replacement parts to the U.S.A., Brazil, Colombia and Italy since 1985.
